Supercube
A game by Oriol Gmez

+Introduction

welcome to supercube, a new and exciting game by Oriol Gmez.

This is a game about concentration, mind and hand coordination. You are in control of a cube, with six colored sides. Well, it is not exactly a cube. Imagine it like a round ball with six pointy colored knobs pretruding from it. Do you have the picture in your mind? No? Good.
The game works by moving the cube by using the arrow keys. I am going to describe the round ball starting from color yellow, even though there is no real center (each color has 4 different arms to each side, in front and to the back.
Imagine it like this. The ball is resting on the table on one color, which is orange. Directly above that is yellow, which is the color that is facing up. From here, we have green in front, white pointing below and towards the player, purple and red to the sides. So we can access either of these colors by moving the cube up, down, right or left. However, we cannot access orange, because that is the color that is resting on the table and thus would require two turns.
If we were to turn the ball in the opposite direction, with orange facing up and yellow facing down, the positions would be inverted: Green facing backwards and towards the player, white facing forwards, red facing right and purple facing left.
Do you start to see how it works? Of course, we can have purple, red, white and green face up as well, but you can use the color practice option to understand it better.

+Game modes

This game features two game modes, for now. The music cube and the memory man.

++Music cube
The music cube features 30 levels at increasing speed where you must move the cube to the indicated color, without losing track of which color is facing up every time since all colors have different positions when you move them.
When you raise a level, the music will become faster and you will eventually be unable to keep up, or perhaps you will beat the game (which I hightly doubt).
You get more points the sooner you change the color. The longer you wait, the less points you'll get for that change.
The game has three rounds. when you are in round three and fail, the game ends and you are unceremoniously thrown to the main menu, where you can perhaps send your score if it is good enough.
If you win, you get 10000 extra points!
Are you ready to become the master of the supercube?

++Memory man

The memory man is similar to the music cube except there is only one level. However, there is a chain of colors that you will have to memorize and move your cube in order to proceed. It also consists of three rounds and starts with a chain of three colors. If you complete that chain it will then have 4 colors, then 5, then 6, and so on. Can you beat your friends at memory cube?

+Sending your score

As always, you can send your best scores to oriolgomez.com. Simply use the main menu option that will appear when you finish a game, and the score will be sent to the site along with your name.

+Credits

The music in the main menu and the intro sound are royalty free shorts composed by Andre Louis. The in game music, voices and most sound effects were produced here and exclusively for this own game. Feel free to use them for your own projects.

Please consider making a small donation if you enjoy this game, as server costs are high. I do not wish to sell my games, for I believe that everyone from every country should have the right to play them, even if they do not own a credit card. I know that piracy in the audio game industry is high, and so I do not wish to make it harder for pirates to actually play my games.
